A Song for Al Carius
Jim’s XC coach (mentor, hero, and friend) from North Central College, Al Carius passed away September 9th after a courageous battle with cancer. It was the honor of Jim’s life to be asked to play Al’s favorite song at his Celebration of Life event. The song is a deep cut by Bob Dylan, titled "Bob Dylan’s Dream." The lyrics, all about a nostalgic look back at, and the importance of, the friendships in our life really spoke to Al.
